The case is handcrafted from a specially tanned, shrunken buffalo leather. The skin shrinks during this particular tanning process and does not only get its distinctively deep grain pattern, but also obtains a special strength and durability. The leather is, of course, solidly dyed in black colour. Just like the leather the metal zip is also extremely durable. This matt SONNENSCHEIN nail nipper is hot-forged from stainless steel. The blades are precisely ground and sharpened. Initially they will only meet at their very tips. When slight pressure is applied on the handles, will the cutting edges close completely. This ensures that your nails are not squeezed, but really cut off neatly. By the way: The weakest part of any nipper is its spring. The wire spring of this nail nipper can be easily exchanged if necessary. Replacement springs can be also ordered from this shop. This sapphire file with a total length of only 9 cm is ideal for traveling. The file has a coarse surface for shortening and a fine one for smoothing the nails.
