Hautzangen FAQs

Cuticle nippers are a more delicate tool with a very fine cutting edge, designed specifically for the precise removal of cuticles and small skin particles. Nail nippers are a stronger, more robust tool intended for cutting thick fingernails and toenails.

The "box joint" design refers to a highly stable and durable joint where one handle passes through the other. This traditional Solingen method ensures perfect blade alignment, which results in a long-lasting and precise cutting action.

Our cuticle nippers are available with either a double spring or a coil spring. Both are designed to provide smooth, controlled tension that gently pushes the blades open, which helps reduce hand fatigue and allows for precise, relaxed work.

The jaw size, typically ranging from 3mm to 5mm, depends on your preference. A smaller jaw allows for very fine and precise work on small skin particles, while a slightly larger jaw can be more efficient for general cuticle trimming.

To keep your nippers in top condition, clean the blades after each use with a soft cloth and ensure they are completely dry before storing. This prevents rust and corrosion. Many of our models also have replaceable springs, extending their lifetime.
