Before each shave, the razor should be sharpened. The razor must never be sharpened directly after shaving as it needs to be at rest for at least one day.
The microscopically fine ridge of the razor is taken care of by an untreated strop and the razor retains its sharpness.
Place the blade flat on the strop and pull it over the strop in the direction of the blade back. Use only light pressure. Turn the razor over the back, never over the cutting edge, then continue in the direction of the blade back. When the desired sharpness is reached, rinse the blade under clear water.
