These pedicure nail nippers are designed to cut even the hardest of toenails cleanly and effortlessly. With a total length of 140 mm, it fully uses the leverage of its long shanks. The box-jointed production method ensures a high level of stability. "Box jointed" means that the passage in the nipper's upper part is first heated red-hot and widened in order to then feed the lower part through. In a final step the cutting edges of these nippers are finally adjusted by hand so that they close precisely and cut the nails cleanly. In the case of nippers, "closing precisely" means that the two cutting edges initially only meet at their very tips, while a column of light is still visible through the rest of the cutting edge. The cutting edges close completely from top to bottom, when slight pressure is being applied on the handles. So the nail is cut cleanly and not squeezed off! The double spring, which pushes the nippers open again after cutting, can of course be easily replaced, if broken or tired after a long period of use. Replacement springs are available from this shop. Made entirely of stainless steel, these premium quality nail nippers are hypoallergenic and can be both hygienically disinfected and sterile treated. This chrome-plated SONNENSCHEIN nail clipper is hot-forged. Their blades are precise so that they only touch the tips when cutting. Use light pressure to close them completely. The combs are hand-crafted from carefully selected horns of water buffalo (bubalus bubalis). The horns of buffaloes, which are six to seven years old, are used mainly because they are characterized by a sufficient size, stable structure and an attractive grain. The different grain of the horn makes every single piece an original. In order to make buffalo horn stretchable and deformable and to bend it into flat plates, it is carefully heated. Afterwards, buffalo horns are cut to shape using elaborate, traditional handicraft techniques. The cut-out free spaces between the broad teeth of the comb do not end precisely, but run obliquely. This production technique is called "Karlieren". The comb slips better through the hair and the danger of damaging the hair is significantly lower.  Finally, the combs are carefully polished in three steps. The surface of the combs is gloss polished in the third and final step with a fine polishing red and beeswax.
